How we approach tree removal
Removal is always our last recommendation, but sometimes it is the right one. Emerald ash borer has killed thousands of ash trees across Hennepin and Ramsey counties, and dead ash becomes brittle quickly. We remove these and other hazardous trees in sections, lowering each piece on ropes so nothing drops on roofs, fences or perennial beds.
Our crews use cranes and compact track loaders where they help, and ground mats to protect turf. Every removal includes a replanting suggestion, and wood from your tree is milled, split for firewood or chipped for mulch through our recycling program.

Climbers or a crane take the tree down in controlled pieces, lowered to a ground crew.

Wood goes to our Hiawatha yard for milling, firewood or mulch, and your yard is swept clean.
